ABC/Fred WatkinsFoo Fighters‘ show Tuesday at the Sziget Festival in Hungary featured a pair of unique guests.
While the band was gearing up to play the set’s closing song, “Everlong,” frontman Dave Grohl spotted a fan in the crowd who had been crowdsurfing while in a wheelchair, and invited him on stage. Grohl also shouted out a girl who’d been blowing bubbles throughout the show, and invited her on stage as well.
The crowdsurfer watched the performance from the side of the stage, while the bubble girl stood by Taylor Hawkins’ drum kit and did her thing. At the end of the song, both of them joined the rest of the Foos for a group bow, and Grohl invited the crowdsurfer to throw his guitar down the stage ramp, causing feedback that echoed over the whole crowd.
You can watch fan-shot footage of the “Everlong” performance now on YouTube.
Foo Fighters are currently making their way through the European summer festival circuit as they tour in continued support of their latest album, 2017’s Concrete and Gold. They’ll be back in the U.S. in September to play the Bourbon & Beyond and Pilgrimage festivals.
